UAB Libraries Bookmark

This is a remix of a bookmark from Thingiverse. I used Tinkercad to add the letters UAB and to cut out the word Libraries in the center of the bookmark. I added cylinders to join the center parts of the letters "b", "a", and "e" to the rest of the bookmark so it can be printed as a single piece. 

Version 11 is the current version of the bookmark. As we created iterations of the bookmark we adjusted the height of the model slightly to produce a bookmark that was somewhat flexible, but was still sturdy enough to use on large stacks of paper or pages in a book.  The the current version is 1.5 mm high, 32 mm wide, and 100.36 mm long.

This is a screenshot of the bookmark that shows how the lettering was added. The letters "UAB" were added to the top as a solid object. The word "Libraries" was created as a solid object, aligned with the bookmark, then turned into a hollow object that, when grouped with the bookmark file, removed the area of the letter object from the bookmark model, creating the letter cutouts on the final bookmark file. 

An early version of the bookmark. This version is 2.5 mm high. I reduced the height in this model since the thickness made it less flexible and not as easy to use as a bookmark.
